During this season of giving, meet new United States Citizen Tony Bisimwa. Tony and his family arrived in Denver 5 years ago as refugees from DR Congo. He is currently a junior at the University of Denver studying computer science and molecular biology. He speaks 4 languages, and inspires everyone he encounters. The Ambassador Foundation has been working with Tony since he arrived in Colorado.
“I always wanted to go to college, but it seemed too expensive. Now, I’m a US citizen, studying at a great university, and I even got an awesome internship that might lead to a job after I graduate.
My life now is way beyond what I ever thought possible, and a lot of that is thanks to the Ambassador Foundation. People like Ms. Joni Noel from the Foundation have really helped me. I have a lot to thank them for – they’ve made a huge difference, especially for immigrant students like me. The Foundation has helped me live the American dream and has done the same for many other immigrant students. I’m really grateful for everything.”
