AF Blog: Resources + Stories + Updates

Thank You For A Watershed Evening!

Over 120 attendees included Ambassador Foundation students with global backgrounds enrolled in schools throughout the Front Range, and our generous sponsors UMB Bank, Bridge Consulting, Hearing Associates, and ProVisions. All enjoyed scoops served by our hosts at The Little Man Ice Cream Factory and cocktails poured by Family Jones while listening to comedy by Matt Baca, the professor-comedian-MC.

Thanks to you, we surpassed our donation goals and generated over $75,000!

During this season of giving, meet new United States citizen Tony Bisimwa. Tony and his family arrived in Denver 5 years ago as refugees from DR Congo. He is currently a junior at the University of Denver studying computer science and molecular biology. He speaks 4 languages, and inspires everyone he encounters. The Ambassador Foundation has been working with Tony since he arrived in Colorado.

Don't Miss the Match

For the final week of the year and the last call for matching donations, we’re introducing you to Andrea Rosas.  Andrea went through the Leadership Program with Foundation staff before we were The Ambassador Foundation. Her story is one of perseverance and family, with an intelligence and joy to be admired.

Fall News: 501(c)(3) Approved

We are celebrating an organizational milestone with news that we received 501(c)(3) nonprofit status and are recognized as a charitable organization by the IRS. This makes us tax-exempt and eligible to apply for government and foundation grants. The more resources available to us, the stronger our ability to impact students’ journeys to and through their post-secondary goals.
