Begin your college application process while still in high school & enhance your leadership skills.
A two part program for High Schools seniors (apply during junior year and complete during senior year) that focuses on College Prep and Leadership skills.
- Part 1: College Prep
The first part of the program is 3 weeks. From June 8th through the 26th, Monday through Friday, from 9am-12pm. You will learn about all aspects of the college application process.
Finding a good college match, completing college and scholarship applications, writing essays, filling out the FAFSA, and practicing for interviews, are some of the topics and activities covered during this time.
Weekly college tours are also part of the curriculum.
At the end of June, you will be prepared to successfully apply to college.
- Part 2: Leadership & scholarship
Leadership and Scholarship is an 12-week program during the Fall semester. You all meet every Thursday from September 3rd through November 19th, from 5pm to 7:30pm.
The program focuses on a series of workshops covering a wide variety of topics, including the development of effective leadership skills, public speaking, self-advocacy, conflict resolution, and the ability to utilize one’s individual personality traits to be a more effective leader.
During this time you will continue to work with the students from the first part of the Summer program and discover new ways to be the leader you want to be in your community.
- SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
- When a student successfully completes 2-part program (College Prep followed by Leadership & Scholarship), they can submit an application for the Ambassador Scholarship; all students who complete the program receive a $3,000 Scholarship.
- Additionally, The Ambassador Foundation Scholarship is administered by the Denver Foundation and it is a needs-based 4 year scholarship, for any non-profit college or university in Colorado.
- Additionally there are (2) $2,500 scholarships per year awarded for any non-profit school in the country.

What are the steps for acceptance of the leadership and scholarship program?
You first need to complete the application for the Ambassador Foundation and meet with a college advisor to discuss your plans, expectations, and requirements of the program. and then you can submit an application for the Leadership & Scholarship Program.
I am a junior in high school can I apply?
You can apply at the second semester of your junior year.
How many students participate in the scholarship & scholarship program?
The Leadership and Scholarship Program accepts between 15-20 students per class.
Will I get a scholarship if I complete the program?
Yes. Completion of the program earns each student a $3,000 scholarship.
What is the attendance policy?
Attendance at all classes is required.
